Director of Emotional Support

About Rumi

Rumi, the MIU Sports Department’s most cherished teammate, has been wagging his way into hearts since his promotion to Emotional Support Director. With unmatched expertise in tail-wagging diplomacy and an investigative nose for new environments, Rumi ensures every athlete, coach, and visitor feels right at home.

His primary responsibilities include thorough sniff inspections of new spaces, a task he approaches with the intensity of a seasoned detective. His findings—communicated through sniffs, snorts, and occasional tail-thumping—are crucial to maintaining team morale.

Rumi’s true superpower lies in orchestrating “petting sessions,” where he skillfully transforms stress into joy with a single soulful gaze or well-timed head tilt. His commitment to cuteness is unwavering, making him the MVP of emotional support.

When off-duty, Rumi enjoys chasing after tennis balls (a subtle nod to MIU’s tennis champions), stretching out for epic sunbeam naps, and conducting taste tests on treats. With Rumi on the roster, the MIU Sports Department always has a paw-sitive edge! 🐾
