Gifting

Most college athletes have been playing their sport for about 12 years before they come on campus. That means hundreds of practices, dozens of matches, lessons, long parent drives to away games, books read, TV watched, day dreams, a long and dedicated pursuit of better play. But some deeply deserving and intereshort of full MIU tuition and expenses by 3, 5, or 10 thousand dollars. Many are highly ranked, well disciplined and focussed. But they just need that extra bit. With some it’s basically a 3 to 1 match for your gift. 5k gives MIU a 20k student. It’s a win all around.

Our soccer field needs work (let’s talk…). Six outdoor tennis courts need resurfacing (10-12k). Indoor courts need repair and resurfacing (15k each). One thought is that a family or a corporation could adopt a court (or courts) and have a featured banner on that court in recognition of some dear relative or corporate entity. If we get enough sponsors we could resurface the entire indoor or outdoor array. This also applies to the video option (see right column).
